Hi - Cindy here, your MLS Laser Technician.
It's the start of a new year and we're already off to a great start. I just wanted to tell you about a recent patient success story.
Before Christmas, I had been treating a patient for shingles. She started MLS laser therapy pretty quickly after she was diagnosed. When she came in for her first treatment, she had the dreaded red bumps covering her low back, plus a whole lot of pain and fatigue - not ideal going into December. She kept receiving treatments faithfully and by the fourth treatment, the red bumps had faded considerably and she was feeling much better. By the time treatment ended, the bumps were nothing but a memory and she was back to her normal self. This was over the course of about 3-4 weeks.
I've never had shingles, but I've heard they're awful. Many years ago (before laser therapy was a thing) I had a friend who came down with shingles and she was down and out for a few months! She said it was the worst pain she had ever experienced.
Needless to say, I was especially impressed with the outcome for our patient.
But that's not where this story ends...
Our patient was so happy with her results that she decided to come back and see if the MLS laser could do something for her peripheral neuropathy. As of today, she's had two treatments, and so far, so good. In addition, she suggested laser therapy to her husband, who had a cervical fusion 11 years ago, and has a lot of neck and back pain as a result.
He was happy to report that he was surprised at how much relief he felt after the first treatment!
I think that's the real benefit of our particular laser. Years of chronic pain can be erased by something that is pain-free, drug-free, and non-invasive. I'm so happy for this couple, who want to be able to keep up with their little grandchildren and enjoy all the good things in life.
Happy New Year to them!
