There is a whole lot of healthy going on over here... as always!
Who likes Chinese food and wishes there was a restaurant on the corner where they live? I do!
How how about we combine healthy and yummy and share this easy Chinese recipe?!
Without the carbs... and without the tab! Doesn't get better than that!
What you need (feeds 4):
1 lb ground pork sausage
6 cups coleslaw mix or shredded cabbage
1 tablespoon minced ginger
4 cloves minced garlic
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil (see note below)
sriracha, optional for serving
Optional: For a little bit of carbs, add
2 eggs (1 large egg= 1/2 gram carbohydrate)
Instructions:
Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Crumble. Do not drain.
Add coleslaw mix, ginger, garlic, and soy sauce to the skillet with the sausage.
If using eggs, scramble into the mixture now.
Cook for 3-4 minutes or until cabbage has softened a little.
Remove from heat and top with the green onions.
Drizzle with sesame oil and/or sriracha (if desired)
Note: It is best to use toasted sesame oil to finish this recipe off. Because it’s already toasted, the oil will start to taste bitter or burnt if it's cooked. So, just use it as a topping.
Let us know what you think. We hope you love it as much as we do!
Hope to see you again soon!
